Submitting Your Job
When you submit a job remember to provide scaling and cropping for transparencies and prints, a full-size laser or color proof identifying all the elements used to create your file, and an electronic mechanical information sheet.
Estimating
Our estimating procedure is one of cost-conscious integrity and accuracy. Experience and efficient processing of all the cost variables enables us to respond with a firm quote within 24 to 48 hours. Should the quotation exceed your budget, we will provide cost-saving options as a solution.
Pre-Flight
Projects containing electronic files go to our Pre-Flight department for a review and assessment of the information. This is a critical function that keeps your job under control right from the start and is usually done within hours of our receiving the disk.
We can receive your electronic files on a variety of media including CD, SyQuest, Magneto-Optical, Zip, Jaz or floppy disk, DAT, DLT or 9-track magnetic tape, in either Mac or PC format. Digital printing information can be sent to us via e-mail or accessing our FTP site at
Printing
The production process at Castlereagh begins with specialized technicians using advanced support equipment to accurately prep each job in the pre-press phases. Using our PREPS software program together with our CTP platform, we create fully imposed plates directly from computer files… a capability that speeds up the prep process, eliminates the cost of negatives and stripping and reduces the printing cost to our customers.

The backbone of our operation, the pressroom, is fully equipped with a Komori and six Heidelberg printing presses that accommodate virtually any type of printing need, while handling extensive workloads simultaneously. Four of these units have 5- and 6-color capabilities. With printing capacities on 60lb. stock to 24pt. board, in sizes up to 40″. These sophisticated workhorses are designed to eliminate print doubling and shifting of register even at varying press speeds.
In-line capabilities allow us to combine two different printing methods in one print run or efficiency and cost control. For example, combining 4-color pages with black and white financial statements in an annual report or an Aqueous base coat that can speed up 2-side print runs by virtually eliminating drying time.

Our facility is equipped to process your shipping requirements within 24-hours, handle drop shipments and split schedule shipments, and meet rush orders. For clients needing storage assistance, our on-premises Inventory Management Program can arrange to have selected portions of a job shipped at scheduled intervals.
